Kinghold is a blend of tower defence and survivor-like with light deck building elements.

Position buildings and summon troops to fend off increasingly difficult waves of enemies. Survive until the final wave and defeat the boss to claim victory.

This early build is being released for feedback, suggestions, and playtesting.

Full version will include:

  • Music.
  • A greatly expanded selection of cards, perks, maps, and enemies.
  • A pause menu.
  • Meta-unlocks.
  • Settings.
  • Leaderboards.
  • Controller support.
  • The incorporation of feedback and suggestions.

Controls

  • WASD — Move.
  • SPACE — Attack, or stop moving when within range of a target.
  • Q / E — Activate the King’s ability (costs 1 gold).

  • Hold RMB on cards or perks to view a short description before choosing a reward.
  • Choose your starting cards from the Cards menu.

Dude, the game is really addictive. You clearly thought everything through in a very consistent way. I managed to create a pretty crowded situation, and there was even villager production from houses.

However, there seems to be something that causes units to run in place sometimes. It is not only friendly units; enemy builders and other units also get stuck like that from time to time. While playing, I had a guess about the reason, but I forgot it.

Also, instead of showing the descriptions by holding right click on the card, it would be more practical if they appeared when hovering the mouse over the card.

The game is honestly both challenging and full of opportunities. I would love to work on something with you someday :D

The game turned out amazing. Seriously, congratulations!

I really liked the features and expansions you added. I tend to get completely hooked on games like this.
